5 In a Row

What an eventful month, and June is not over yet. In the last 30 days I have been to 5 trade shows ranging from Drones to Jewelry: AUVSI/XPONENTIAL (New Orleans), ICSC RECON, ASCO (Chicago), JCK Vegas, INFOCOMM.

XPONENTIAL is the #1 show for the unmanned systems market, drawing 8000+ industry leaders and professionals from more than 55 countries.

Some cool booths I saw: Osh Kosh, Textron, Northrup Grumman, Sensefly, Autel Robotics.

RECon is the global convention for the shopping center industry and provides networking, deal making and educational opportunities for retail real estate professionals from around the world. Over 36,000 attendees and 1,000 exhibitors do a year's worth of business in just 3 days. If you are looking to meet retailers to discuss new or existing leases in your centers, view the latest industry products and services that are critical to your business, attend educational sessions or find the next deal, then you need to attend RECon.

Some cool booths I saw: Hilton, Forest City, Tanger Outlet, Trasswestern and CBRE. There were a lot of massive exhibits on the show floor and a lot of wheeling and dealing taking place in those exhibits. Very busy and noisy show floor. Lots of dark suits.

The Annual ASCO Meeting brings together 30,000 oncology professionals from around the world. Educational sessions feature world-renowned faculty discussing state-of-the-art treatment modalities, new therapies, and ongoing controversies in the field. Science sessions present the latest ground-breaking research in oral and poster format.

Some really awesome large exhibits were Merck, Genentech, Eli Lilly, Abbvie. Sanofi Genzyme and Astellas. The pharmaceutical industry is quite healthy. Most of the exhibits who are here will also go to ASH in December, and AUA in May.

JCK Las Vegas is the leading jewelry event in North America open to all jewelry professionals, offering exclusive buying, networking, and educational opportunities you won’t find anywhere else. Each year, the industry gathers where the latest awe-inspiring domestic and international designers and most sought after trends are showcased in a secure environment. JCK Las Vegas is the industry event that combines a plethora of networking events and complimentary education sessions with the industry's broadest selection of finished jewelry, gems, and timepieces.

Each year 23,000+ retailer stores and 2,300+ exhibitors from around the globe gather at Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino for the jewelry industry’s most extraordinary event.

What girl wouldn't love to walk through the jewelry show? So many diamonds, pearls and gold. Let's not forget the high end costume jewelry and watches. Swarovski, Versace, marahlago, Stuhrling and Invicta definitely had the best booths on the show floor.

InfoComm International® is the trade association representing the professional audiovisual and information communications industries worldwide. Established in 1939, InfoComm has more than 5,000 members, including manufacturers, systems integrators, dealers and distributors,

independent consultants, programmers, rental and staging companies, end users and multimedia professionals from more than 80 countries.

The Panasonic booth definitely caught everyone's eyes. The visual on the white screen was captivating. They did a great job demonstrating their visual capabilities.

Sony, NEC, LG, Cannon definitely had the largest footprints on the trade show floor. In my opinion, NEC had the best booth....maybe because they needed to make a statement, now that they are under Microsoft's umbrella.
