The beginning of 4th Quarter
Not only is October the beginning of the 4th quarter, the fall season is also in full effect. Cool weather, birthdays, football, runs and the last push to finish the year with a bang.
This month I went to IMEX, ABC Kids Expo, Rock'n Roll Run LA Expo, and even a Masquerade Ball in LA.
IMEX America - is the largest global trade show for hotel chains and vetted meeting planners.
ABC Kids Expo - is the trade show for buyers and manufacturers of children's apparel, accessories, toys and furniture.
About The Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon Series: Each year, more athletes participate in Rock ‘n’ Roll running events than any other running series in the United States.
What started as a simple idea in 1998 – a marathon with bands along the course celebrating each participant – soon transformed the running landscape igniting the second running boom. While entertainment and the energy of a festival weekend define the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon series experience, runners have raised more than $310 million for participating charities shows our heart and soul.
I had a great time running the 5K and earning my 2nd Rock 'N Roll medal. The expo was good, I got some energy bars, drinks, vitamins and all things healthy. Best part about Los Angeles is the scenery. You never know what you will run into. Got a glimpse of the Comikaze, which is LA's version of ComicCon, Stan Lee's Los Angeles ComicCon. I also ran into League of Legends 2016 Championship tournament. Non-stop fun for sure!
After such a full month of hard work and shows, I made sure I had some fun! I had the opportunity to go to Avant Garde's annual masquerade ball that took place at the Majestic in downtown Los Angeles. It was a glamorous night for sure featuring Sue Wong's fashion. Thanks to Velana Luxury, a local designer from Las Vegas, for dressing me with her originals.
While in Las Vegas, make sure to stop by the following restaurants:
1. Mastro's Restaurant - Best lobster bisque and bake potato combo in town! Not to mention the luxury service and amazing restaurant architecture in the Crystals at City Center.
2. Culinary DropOut - great atmosphere, great service, great brunch at Hard Rock Hotel.
3. The Cupcakery - in my opinion, it's the best cupcakes in town.
4. Chef Marc's Trattoria - we had the opportunity to participate in Fork & Spoon LV pay it forward plate at Chef Marc's Trattoria and it was amazing!
While in Los Angeles, here are some favorite restaurants:
1. SKD Tofu House - best Korean food in Los Angeles!
2. Pho Super Bowl - best pho in Alhambra CA
